Flowing spirit

Traveling has reassured me of one thing: things happen for a reason, whatever will happen to you, is going to happen, you'll meet the right person at the right time. I knew this before starting my journey but sometimes it gets difficult, sometimes it's too blurry to see ahead and we feel lost. A friend once told me that once you think about doing something, that is the moment when you planted the seed. After that, talking about your plans and thinking about then, visualizing yourself there; that's watering the seed until eventually everything is set and you can just go with the flow.

I planted a traveling seed in my garden, and started to water it. It wasn't easy, there are many weeds and animals willing to get rid of my plant. People saying it's impossible, that you need money, asking what you'll do, how will your plan work and everything else. I set my mind, bought a ticket (need to thank my father for that great push), and started the process. The plant was bigger, I knew that I was going to travel for a year, at least. Everything was set in motion.

There are moments when I think I won't make it, it's too expensive, too difficult, almost giving up. There's where the right person comes into the picture. Could be an old friend, my parents or even a stranger. The best ones are the strangers, they have great energy within. When you least expect it you're back on track discovering that money is not relevant.

We grow up thinking that money is all in life. Making a big deal about it, we have completely forgotten about trading. I've found this as a way of traveling, of keep going. I work a few hours in exchange for food and accommodation. I've found some great places I can call home, a great community of people where I can give a hand and they will take care of me. It's like a family, at least how families should be like. People helping each other, looking out for each other.

I don't have a fixed plan, I kind of come and go. I'm a gypsy now, looking for the next place to settle, where some help is needed. That's how I came to Berlin and found a community of people with the same way of thinking. They know that things will be, because they are meant to be. It's about trusting the universe, trusting yourself. We are our own obstacles.

When you are ready to experience life, to live and let live, to help out, to work hard and enjoy every moment; then everything flows. That's the flowing spirit, if we trust, if we are true to ourselves and principles and if we are willing to share with others, that's when the good will come to us, and when the bad will be something teaching a lesson, but won't stay.

A person saw me so happy after hours of hard work, smiling and keeping a positive attitude. He asked me what was my secret what was my drug. I said: LIFE!

Enjoying an afternoon in Wales
